Review Guidelines

Last updated: November 2, 2026

Reviews on Travel Korea come only from patients whose visit was confirmed by the clinic or, after a check, by our team. These guidelines explain who can write a review, what a review may contain, how clinics can reply, and how our team checks reviews and reports.

1Who Can Write a Review

Every review carries the label “Visit confirmed”

It means two things: the booking request was made in the TravelKorea app, and the patient's visit was confirmed: the clinic recorded in its dashboard that the patient visited (with the visit date and, where recorded, the doctor and treatment), or, if the clinic and the patient disagreed, our team checked and confirmed the visit (see below). It does not mean that we checked medical records or the result of a treatment.

  • You can review a clinic after you sent it a booking request in the TravelKorea app and the clinic confirmed your visit (or our team did, after a check). Requests sent from the website or from older versions of the app can't be reviewed.
  • Reviews need a free patient account: you sign in with your email address and a code we email you. Write your review signed in to the account your booking request belongs to, on any phone, up to 90 days after the visit date. A request sent from a phone joins your account when you sign in on that phone. We may send one notification a few days after your visit to ask how it went.
  • One review per booking request. You must be 14 or older.
  • Clinic owners and staff can't review their own clinic: a phone that was ever used to sign in as a clinic's owner, any phone signed in to the same patient account, and an account that uses the owner's email address can never review that clinic. Clinics must not review competitors either.
  • The clinic records each visit as visited, did not attend, cancelled, or not a real request. We never confirm a visit automatically. If you think the clinic recorded your visit wrongly, you can ask us to check from My requests in the app. Our team decides, and may ask you or the clinic for proof (for example, a written confirmation from the clinic).

2What a Review Shows

  • Your overall star rating and ratings for service, value and communication. A rating for the doctor appears only when the clinic's visit record names the doctor you saw: you never choose or name a doctor yourself.
  • Your text, and the display name you choose (by default “TravelKorea patient”).
  • The month of your visit, never the exact day. Only if you choose: your country flag and the treatment you had.
  • Never your name, email address, phone number, app ID or account. But the clinic will know the review is from you: it has your name and contact details from your booking request, and its dashboard shows which of its booking requests has a review as soon as you send it (even while we are still checking it).
  • Reviews are translated automatically for readers of other languages unless you turn translation off when you write the review. Readers can always see the original text.

3What's Allowed and What Isn't

Allowed

  • Your own, honest experience of this visit: the consultation, communication, interpreting, facilities, waiting time, price and value, aftercare, and how you feel about the result.
  • Positive and negative reviews alike. Criticism is welcome when it is about your own experience, stated fairly and without insults.
  • Details about your own treatment that you are comfortable sharing publicly.

Not allowed

  • Paid or rewarded reviews. Reviews are never paid for or rewarded on TravelKorea: no money, discounts, free treatments, gifts or points. Clinics must not offer anything for a review, write or edit reviews for patients, or ask only happy patients to review.
  • Fake reviews, reviews of a visit that didn't happen, or reviews written for someone else.
  • Personal information: names, phone numbers, email or home addresses, or health details of anyone but yourself, including clinic staff.
  • Insults, threats, harassment, hate speech, sexual content, or false statements that harm someone's reputation or other rights.
  • Advertising, links, contact details, or promotion of other clinics, agents or services.
  • Medical claims or advice for others, such as promising that a treatment works for everyone.
  • Content unrelated to your visit.

4How We Check Reviews

Our team checks every review and every report within 24 hours. A review is published only after it has been checked.

  • We publish reviews that follow these guidelines and reject those that don't, telling you why. You can then rewrite a rejected review and send it again.
  • We don't change your words, and we never publish or reject a review because it is positive or negative.
  • We may later hide or remove a published review that breaks these guidelines or the law. Every decision is recorded.
  • Reviews never appear in clinic offers, advertising or promotions.

5Clinic Replies

  • A clinic can post one public reply to each review of the clinic, and edit it later (shown as edited).
  • Clinics can reply, but they cannot edit, hide or remove reviews. Only our team can, and only under these guidelines.
  • Replies must not contain prices or amounts, phone numbers, links, email addresses, or advertising claims such as “best”, “No.1” or “guaranteed”; replies that do are refused. A reply must never reveal anything about the patient that the patient didn't write in the review.
  • Replies can be reported like reviews, and our team hides replies that break these guidelines. Replies are translated automatically unless the clinic turns this off.

6Reporting and Blocking

Report

  • Anyone using the app can report a review or a clinic reply from its menu: spam, fake, abusive, privacy, rights infringement, or other. Clinics can report reviews of their clinic from the owner dashboard.
  • A report never hides anything by itself. Our team checks every report within 24 hours, privacy and rights reports first, and then keeps, hides or removes the content.
  • If a review or reply infringes your rights (for example, it reveals your private information or makes false statements about you), report it as a rights infringement or email us at it@travigeon.com with a link to the review, what is wrong, and how we can contact you. Doctors and other people mentioned in a review can email us too.

Block and hide

  • Block this reviewer hides all reviews by that person of that clinic on your phone.
  • Hide replies from this clinic hides that clinic's replies on your phone.
  • Both only change what you see; other readers still see the content.

We may stop a phone or a patient account from writing reviews and reports if it repeatedly breaks these guidelines. A blocked account that is deleted can't sign up again with the same email address. A clinic that manipulates reviews (for example by rewarding them or confirming visits that didn't happen) may have its listing taken offline.

7Deleting Your Review

You can delete your review at any time in the app (Profile > My reviews), or delete your patient account with all your reviews (Profile > Account > Delete account, see Account deletion). Delete my data on a phone deletes only the reviews from that phone that don't belong to an account. A deleted review disappears together with the clinic's reply. If our team had already removed or hidden it, its text and personal details are deleted but a record of our decision stays, so that visit cannot be reviewed again. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
